My baby cried so much whenever she got her shots

My first baby cried so much whenever she got her shots. I would hold onto her and feel so, so bad. She was little and I was supposed to be protecting her. I didn’t want to put my next baby through that, so I just threw out the reminder cards from the nursing station. Then, one of my friends convinced me to go. She said that a little bit of crying now is a lot better than my baby getting really sick, and there was a good chance of that happening if I didn’t let him have the shots. She’s going to go with me. Our deal is I’m going to make my baby feel better when he cries, and my friend will do the same for me!
